Last Stop---> Zadar

On our only full day in Zadar, we began by checking out all the historical sights that the ancient Roman city had to offer.

Church of St. Donatus  9th Century

St. Mary's Church  Founded in 1066

Then we spent a while swimming and diving off the the concrete walk way that extends along the sea border of the ancient city

There is an musical organ embedded in the steps that uses the waves to create music
Watch this video to understand what I mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBhk5KFwLVc

The steps exist on the southeastern corner
On our walk back to the hostel...I don't know how to explain what was going on though

Because it was our last night of our week long trip in Croatia, we decided to go out for a gourmet Croatian meal at Na Po Ure

A local catch with olive oil infused potatoes

It's safe to say that I enjoyed the meal

On our way back from dinner...

When it was time to go out, we began our night hanging out at the famous "Greeting to the Sun". It lights up in harmony with the waves crashing against the near by steps into the sea.

Then we headed to cool Rakija bar in old town. Rakija is a type of flavored brandy made from distilling fruits usually. It was a lot of fun; I wish rakija was popular in the US. The most common flavor is honey.
